Symptoms of PTSD can include:

Intrusive thoughts or memories of the traumatic event

Avoidance of triggers or reminders of the event

Negative changes in mood or thoughts, including feelings of guilt or shame

Hyperarousal, including difficulty sleeping, irritability, and exaggerated startle response

PTSD can be treated with a variety of therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Medications may also be used to manage symptoms of PTSD, such as antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications.

It's important to note that seeking treatment for PTSD is not a sign of weakness, and can be an important step towards recovery and improved quality of life.
